We welcome you all on this auspicious occasion and are very happy to present this ‘Yashogatha’ at your feet.
We have achieved huge progress in the long journey of 34 years (from May 1979 to 2012) in the redevelopment of Pu. Pragabapa ‘s mandir.
The first meeting was held on 06-05-1979 at Rajkot at the residence of Shri Nathalal Jethalal Damani from Gondal. Shri Harikishanbhai, Shri Nathubhai from Rajkot, Shri Nathalalbhai, Shri Madhubhai, Shri Anilbhai and Shri Vajubhai from Junagadh were present. With great enthusiasm all the trustees agreed to the decision of redeveloping a huge complex in place of Pu. Pragabapa’s small temple (Ota).
Shri Harkishanbhai Nagardas Dhedhi was appointed with comprehensive unity. After which Jamka’s Shri Jivrajbhai Bhagwanbhai Dobariya’s seven vigha land was purchased of which one vigha land was donated by him. Immediately collection of funds was started and thereafter Mandir's construction work was commenced which was completed in a year’s time. Mandir’s Bhoomi Pujan ceremony was held on 17-05-1980. There was a three day Pran - Pratishtha ceremony at Pu. Pragabapa’s Mandir, from 30-04-1981 to 02-05-1981. All members of Damani - Dhedhi families were present with lots of enthusiasm. Every three years a Havan conference is held at Jamka which is graced by the family members from all over the world.
With the increasing faith in Pu. Pragabapa we are receiving funds in huge amounts. All the trustees' constant effort for the progress of the Mandir is immensely appreciable of which the below listed members have been of a great financial help:
1. Late Shri Chamanlal Rupshi Damani of London
2. Shri Vrajlal Premchand of Malaysia
3. Shri Bhanulal Shantilal Damani
4. Shri Pravinbhai Damani of Kuala Lumpur
Their constant efforts in obtaining donations not only from Shri Chimankaka but also from other families in London played a major role. Their guidance and service offered will be forever remembered.
Following are the families who had offered their direct and indirect support in every way:
From native Shri Gunvantbhai, Shri Rameshbhai, Shri Vinubhai Dhedhi, Shri Piyushbhai, Shri Mahendrabhai C. Damani, Shri Jayendrabhai, Shri Jamnadas Damani, Shri Chunilal Nagji Damani family of Mumbai, Shri Chatrabhujbhai, Shri Amarchandbhai, Shri Zaveribhai, Shri Sharadbhai of Dhoraji, Shri Harshadbhai from Savarkundla, Shri Chandrakantbhai Damani from Amravati , Shri Damodarbhai Manekchand family from Calcutta, Shri Navinbhai, Shri Nanabhai, Shri Manilal Damani family from Rajkot.
Jamka’s Shri Dadbhai Vala, Shri Jivrajbhai Dobariya family and other villagers’ co-operation was invaluable in the Mandir redevelopment project. Ex-Sarpanch Shri Dadbhai gave his valuable co-operation throughout.
We are wholeheartedly thankful to all.
In the beginning upto 25 years Bagasara’s Late Shri Vrajlal Harjivan Ghataliya and Late Shri Kantilal Harjivan Ghataliya had offered their valuable guidance and also helped in construction and administration.
Trust has built two troughs of water for cattle, one on the outskirts of the Jamka village and the other outside the Mandir, which benefits the animals of Jamka - Sanadiya. Buttermilk made from imported milk powder was distributed to Jamka - Sanadiya villagers in the past. Drinking water facility was also provided during summers.
In our 35 years duration, the dedication and contribution of 1st Ex-president Shri Harkishanbhai Dhedhi from 1979 to his last breath remained appreciable. In spite of inadequate transportation in Jamka, his co-operation and support remained incomparable.
Shri Nathalal Damani held the responsibility of Vice President, thereafter as President during the year 1991 to 1998. Right from the beginning he served as an active trustee. His dedication and participation towards the prosperity of Mandir redevelopment was invaluable.
The guidance, suggestions and financial help of Shri Vinubhai Dhedhi will always be remembered.
We bow to Shri Harkishanbhai, Shri Nathalal Jethalal Damani and Shri Vinubhai Dhedhi.
The last conference of Damani – Dhedhi Parivar held at Jamka on 25-10-2009. Our familiy’s senior advocate Shri Ashokbhai Chunilal Damani from Ahmedabad attended it for the first time and is continually trying to grow and develop our family generations.
In spite of ill health our guide and Ex-trustee Late Shri Vinubhai Dedhiya was present. He presented the idea of helping the Damani – Dhedhi Parivars’ children for higher education. Smt. Ranjanaben (wife of Shri Vajubhai) presented the idea of medical help to the family members as the medication today is become a costly affair. Shri Rameshbhai Damani positively supported these two ideas and hence both the proposals were brought into action.
He also suggested to form a separate trust so that the donors may have the tax benefits under section 80-G. This idea received a very good response from all the members which resulted in the formation of ‘Shree Damani Dhedhi Charitable Trust’ and got the trust registered and since then has been helping the needy families for their educational requirements regularly.
For this social service activity Shri Rameshbhai Damani provides medical help and Shri Ashokbhai Damani provides educational help. The fund received is kept fixed and the help is provided from its interests every year.
It is pride for our family that we are progressing day by day. No difference of opinion has ever come in our way. Each and every family member has provided their complete support and co-operation.
Trustees thank the family-members and salute all of them for actively participating in this noble cause!
For preparing the ‘Yashogatha’ of Damani - Dhedhi Parivar, everyday Shri Kishorchandra Shantilal Damani used to visit the press, provided suggestions and guidance. Shri Kishorchandra and Smt. Ranjanaben Damani helped with the proof reading, Trustees thank them for the same.
Since many years there is a printing press named Doshi Printing Press at Junagadh. Shri Pravinbhai Doshi, the owner of the press printed the publication beautifully and systematyically using off-set printing technology. Trustees are thankful to him.
At present Pu. Pragabapa – Pu. Mataji’s seva and pooja is beautifully offered by Pujari Shri Harjivanbhai Gondaliya. We congratulate him for the services rendered.
Thanks and Vandan!
