OUR STATEMENT
It was our golden dream, that the members of Damani – Dhedhi Parivar witness the growth of the family generations. To turn the golden dream into the fact, we have created ‘Yashogatha’, which came into existence by our collective efforts. On this Golden occasion of the launch of “Yashogatha” we are extremely joyous and hope a friendly co-operation and help being extended during the service project of Pu. Pragabapa. We wholeheartedly thank all the Trustees and to all those who co-operated in the making of ‘Yashogatha’.
If unknowingly we have made any mistakes we regret and wholeheartedly apologise for the same.
Understanding the Significance of Devotion
Nived is generally performed on Aso Sud 8, Dashera and Aso Vad 14. Nived is performed for the Child’s hair cut (Babri) , Marriage ceremony (Chedachedi) and Baby Shower (Srimant). Families perform Nived according to their own customs. Nived performed by us is as follows, One can offer the Prasadam (Nived) according to their own beliefs. Nived is prepared at home or can also be prepared at Pu.Pragabapa’s Mandir, Jamka with prior intimation.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE MANDIR ?
1. Aso sud 8 (evening)
2. Dashera Nived Aso sud 10 (afternoon)
a) 1.25kg Lapasee
b) 600 grams rice with Moong
c) 600 grams rice with jaggery
d) 600 gms. moong (Without tempering)
e) Son in Law Rs.11/-, 2 Coconut Rs.11/-
This amount will go to sister & daughter
3. Aso vad 14 (Kiali Chaudash evening)
a) 1.25 bowl rice with jaggery
b) 100 gms. Churma per person for Hanumanji
c) 600 gms Talvat
d) Vada as per requirement
4. Nived for Child's Hair cut
If possible do Darshan of Pu.Pragabapa at the Mandir or light a deep-jyot near Pu.Pragabapa’s photo. Prior to the haircut kindly do darshan and seek the blessings. Following are the list of items for Nived:
a) 2.5 kg lapasee
b) 1.25 kg rice with moong
c) 1.25 kg rice with jaggery
d) 1.25 kg moong (Without tempering)
e) Jaman or Jamani Rs.11/- 2 Coconut Rs.11/-,
This money will go to the sister & daughter of the family.
5. Nived to be performed for Wedding KNOTS (Chheda Chhedi) and Baby Shower (Srimant)
Baby Shower ( Shrimanta Nived)
a) 2.5 kg. Lapasee
b) 1.25 kg rice with moong
c) 1.25 kg rice with jaggery
d) 1.25 kg moong (Without tempering)
e) Son in Law 2 coconuts Rs.21/- to sister
Daughter’s Baby Shower (Srimant)
2 bowls extra needs to be offered. Rest according to above.
Note: First Delivery of Daughter in law at house. The daughter’s delivery would be taken care at the In – laws House. One can perform Nived according to his own belief and customs or can follow as shown above.
